美國計算機(jī)學(xué)會(ACM)于今日公布了2020年度ACM Fellow名單,其中包括陳怡然、顏水成、周昆、申恒濤、陶宇飛、王薇、Cathy Wu、李學(xué)龍、呂晨陽、任奎、王義、張耀文等12位華人學(xué)者!而在這次獲獎名單公布過程中,多位圖靈獎得主坐鎮(zhèn),包括Whitfield Diffie、Adi Shamir、Manuel Blum等人均在此次ACM Fellow名單名單中!
ACM (Association for Computing Machinery ) 中文:國際計算機(jī)學(xué)會,是一個世界性的計算機(jī)從業(yè)員專業(yè)組織,創(chuàng)立于1947年,是世界上第一個科學(xué)性及教育性計算機(jī)學(xué)會,目前在全世界130多個國家和地區(qū)擁有超過10萬名的會員。ACM是全世界計算機(jī)領(lǐng)域影響力最大的專業(yè)學(xué)術(shù)組織。ACM所評選的圖靈獎(A.M. Turing Award)被公認(rèn)為世界計算機(jī)領(lǐng)域的諾貝爾獎?,F(xiàn)任主席為Vicki L. Hanson教授。
ACM Fellow是由美國計算機(jī)協(xié)會(Association for Computing Machinery, ACM)授予資深會員之榮譽(yù),表揚(yáng)對于計算機(jī)相關(guān)領(lǐng)域有杰出貢獻(xiàn)之學(xué)者,審查過程十分嚴(yán)格,每年遴選一次。全世界共有五百多位ACM Fellows,華裔院士二十余人。往年華裔院士名單如下:Yong Rui (芮勇) 、Jin-Yi Cai(蔡進(jìn)一)、Andrew A. 本次選出的95名ACM Fellow ,分別在人工智能、云計算、計算機(jī)圖形學(xué)、計算生物學(xué)、數(shù)據(jù)科學(xué)、安全和隱私、軟件工程、量子計算和網(wǎng)絡(luò)科學(xué)等領(lǐng)域做出了廣泛的基礎(chǔ)性貢獻(xiàn)。
以下為12位華人學(xué)者介紹:
陳怡然
杜克大學(xué)電子與計算機(jī)工程終身正教授、IEEE Fellow、杜克大學(xué)計算進(jìn)化智能中心(CEI)主任、美國 NSF 新型可持續(xù)智能計算產(chǎn)學(xué)合作中心主任。專注于研究新型存儲系統(tǒng)、機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)和神經(jīng)形態(tài)計算,以及移動計算系統(tǒng)。1998年獲得清華大學(xué)理學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué)位,2001年獲清華碩士學(xué)位,2005年獲普度大學(xué)博士學(xué)位。在工業(yè)界工作五年后,他于2010年加入匹茲堡大學(xué)擔(dān)任助理教授,后于2014年晉升為終身副教授,并獲雙世紀(jì)校友講席。他同時也是 NSF CAREER獎、ACM SIGDA杰出新教師獎、德國洪堡資深學(xué)者研究獎和IEEE SYSC/CEDA TCCPS職業(yè)中期獎的獲得者,并被列入HPCA名人堂。陳教授出版過一本專著并發(fā)表過400多篇技術(shù)論文。他獲得過96項美國專利,擔(dān)任或曾擔(dān)任十多個國際學(xué)術(shù)論文/期刊的副主編,并曾在60多個國際會議的技術(shù)和組織委員會任職。他現(xiàn)在是IEEE電路和系統(tǒng)( IEEE Circuits and Systems )雜志的主編。他獲得過七次最佳論文獎,一次最佳 poster獎,以及十四次最佳論文提名。

顏水成
前依圖科技首席技術(shù)官,新加坡國立大學(xué)終身機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)與計算機(jī)視覺實驗室負(fù)責(zé)人,IEEE Fellow、IAPR Fellow,曾任 360 集團(tuán)副總裁、首席科學(xué)家與人工智能研究院院長。主要研究領(lǐng)域為計算機(jī)視覺、機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)與多媒體分析。本科就讀于北京大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)科學(xué)學(xué)院,在微軟亞洲研究院實習(xí)期間,先后師從人臉識別和智能視頻監(jiān)控專家李子青和計算機(jī)視頻檢索研究領(lǐng)域的“開山鼻祖”張宏江,還與前滴滴研究院院長何曉飛一同搭檔發(fā)表 4 篇單篇引用過千的論文。他們將 Subspace Learning 與 Manifold Learning 兩個當(dāng)時非?;鸨念I(lǐng)域巧妙而簡單地串聯(lián)了起來。2006年,顏水成在伊利諾伊大學(xué)香檳分校(UIUC)做博士后研究,師從計算機(jī)視覺大師黃煦濤(Thomas Huang)。2007年12月,顏水成教授加入新加坡國立大學(xué),其團(tuán)隊在五年內(nèi)獲得了計算機(jī)視覺領(lǐng)域的核心競賽即PASCAL視覺對象類和ImageNet大規(guī)模視覺識別挑戰(zhàn)賽的十余次冠軍或榮譽(yù)獎,以及十多次(最佳)學(xué)生論文 獎項。此外,顏水成團(tuán)隊提出的“Network in Network”(NIN)網(wǎng)絡(luò)結(jié)構(gòu)的核心 1×1 卷積,在近年來幾乎被所有計算機(jī)視覺深度學(xué)習(xí)模型當(dāng)作標(biāo)準(zhǔn)模塊,后期出現(xiàn)的 GoogleNet、ResNet等模型也借鑒了其思想。他的團(tuán)隊開發(fā)的“Purine”是全球第一個開源的支持多機(jī)多GPU的深度學(xué)習(xí)系統(tǒng)。

周昆
浙江大學(xué)計算機(jī)系教授,IEEE Fellow,兼任浙江大學(xué)計算機(jī)輔助設(shè)計與圖形學(xué)國家重點實驗室主任,教育部長江學(xué)者特聘教授,國家杰出青年科學(xué)基金獲得者。主要研究方向為計算機(jī)圖形學(xué)、計算機(jī)視覺、人機(jī)交互和虛擬現(xiàn)實。在ACM/IEEE Transactions上發(fā)表論文80余篇,論文引用1萬余次,獲得發(fā)明專利50余項。此外,他曾獲得2009年NVIDIA Professor Partnership Award、2010年中國計算機(jī)圖形學(xué)杰出獎、2011年中國青年科技獎、2011年《麻省理工學(xué)院技術(shù)評論》全球杰出青年創(chuàng)新人物獎 (MIT TR35 Award)、2012年中組部首批青年拔尖人才支持計劃、2013年國家自然科學(xué)二等獎、2016年陳嘉庚青年科學(xué)獎、2017年浙江省自然科學(xué)一等獎。

申恒濤
申恒濤教授,美國光學(xué)學(xué)會會士和ACM杰出會員,是電子科技大學(xué)計算機(jī)科學(xué)與工程學(xué)院院長,電子科技大學(xué)人工智能研究院執(zhí)行院長,四川省人工智能研究院(宜賓)院長。他分別于2000年和2004年獲得了新加坡國立大學(xué)計算機(jī)科學(xué)系一等榮譽(yù)學(xué)士和博士學(xué)位。隨后加入昆士蘭大學(xué)并于2011年底成為教授。他一直從事最前沿的計算機(jī)科學(xué)研究,研究方向包括多媒體搜索,計算機(jī)視覺,人工智能,和大數(shù)據(jù)管理。
申恒濤累計發(fā)表了300+篇高水平同行評審論文,其中包括200多篇CCF A類論文, 并獲得了8個國際會議和期刊的最佳論文獎,包括A類會議ACM Multimedia 2017 最佳論文獎和ACM SIGIR 2017 最佳論文-Honourable Mention獎,以及IEEE Transactions on Multimedia 2020最佳論文獎。

陶宇飛
香港中文大學(xué)計算機(jī)與工程系教授,復(fù)旦大學(xué)兼職教授。主要研究興趣是開發(fā)“小而精”的算法,以及數(shù)據(jù)庫、機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)與理論計算機(jī)科學(xué)的交叉研究。他在2002年于香港科技大學(xué)獲得計算機(jī)科學(xué)博士學(xué)位,師從 Dimitris Papadias 教授。他曾在CMU擔(dān)任訪問科學(xué)家、香港城市大學(xué)擔(dān)任助理教授、昆士蘭大學(xué)擔(dān)任教授。曾獲得2002年香港杰出科學(xué)家獎、SIGMOD 2013/2015 最佳論文獎、2016年谷歌教職研究獎、PODS 2018 最佳論文獎等。

王薇
加利福尼亞大學(xué)洛杉磯分校(UCLA)計算機(jī)系 Leonard Kleinrock 講席教授,Scalable Analytics Institute 主任,Jonsson Comprehensive 癌癥中心、量子計算生物研究所成員。主要研究興趣為大數(shù)據(jù)分析、數(shù)據(jù)挖掘、數(shù)據(jù)庫系統(tǒng)、自然語言處理、生物信息學(xué)、計算機(jī)生物與計算醫(yī)療。她于1999年從UCLA獲得計算機(jī)科學(xué)博士學(xué)位,曾于1999年至2002年在IBM T. J. Watson中心擔(dān)任研究員,于2002年至2012年在北卡羅來納大學(xué)教堂山分校計算機(jī)系擔(dān)任教授。她曾獲得 IBM 發(fā)明成就獎、微軟研究 New Faculty Fellow。

(吳凱茜)Cathy H. Wu
特拉華大學(xué)生物信息與計算生物中心 Edward G. Jefferson 主席與教授,蛋白質(zhì)信息資源(PIR) 主任,喬治城大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)中心兼職教授。主要研究興趣包括蛋白質(zhì)家族分類和功能注釋、生物數(shù)據(jù)整合和文本挖掘。她在1978年本科畢業(yè)于國立臺灣大學(xué)植物病理學(xué),隨后于1982年獲得美國普渡大學(xué)植物病理學(xué)碩士學(xué)位,1984年獲得普渡大學(xué)博士學(xué)位。博士畢業(yè)后,她繼續(xù)求學(xué)之路,1986年在密歇根州立大學(xué)獲得分子生物博士后學(xué)位,并于1989年在德克薩斯大學(xué)獲得計算機(jī)科學(xué)碩士學(xué)位,碩士畢業(yè)論文主題是使用人工神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡(luò)來分類蛋白質(zhì),導(dǎo)師為George M. Witson III。之后,1989年至1994年,她在德克薩斯大學(xué)計算機(jī)系擔(dān)任助理教授,教計算機(jī)科學(xué)的課程,又在德克薩斯大學(xué)健康中心擔(dān)任助理教授、副教授與教授。吳自1990年以來一直從事生物信息學(xué)研究,并開發(fā)了幾個蛋白質(zhì)分類系統(tǒng)和數(shù)據(jù)庫。

李學(xué)龍
李學(xué)龍,國際歐亞科學(xué)院院士、西北工業(yè)大學(xué)教授、博導(dǎo),校學(xué)術(shù)委員會副主任。畢業(yè)于中國科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué),關(guān)注高維數(shù)據(jù)的智能獲取、處理和管理。在應(yīng)用系統(tǒng)中發(fā)揮作用。在工程和計算兩個領(lǐng)域入選全球高被引科學(xué)家。 此外,還入選美國科學(xué)促進(jìn)會會士(AAAS Fellow)、美國光學(xué)學(xué)會會士(OSA Fellow)、國際光學(xué)工程學(xué)會會士(SPIE Fellow)、國際電氣電子工程師協(xié)會會士(IEEE Fellow)、國際模式識別學(xué)會會士(IAPR Fellow)等。2018年,獲得“錢偉長中文信息處理科學(xué)技術(shù)獎”一等獎。

呂晨陽
呂晨陽,圣路易斯華盛頓大學(xué)計算機(jī)科學(xué)與工程系教授,研究領(lǐng)域包括實時系統(tǒng)、無線傳感器網(wǎng)絡(luò)和物聯(lián)網(wǎng)。他是“ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks”的期刊主編、IEEE IOT期刊的區(qū)域編輯。此外,他發(fā)表了150多篇研究論文的作者,被引用超過14,000次,h指數(shù)為54。
他1995年在中國科技大學(xué)念完本科,1997年獲得中國科學(xué)院碩士學(xué)位,2001年在弗吉尼亞大學(xué)獲得博士學(xué)位。

任奎
浙江大學(xué)求是講席教授,目前擔(dān)任浙江大學(xué)網(wǎng)絡(luò)空間安全學(xué)院院長、計算機(jī)科學(xué)與技術(shù)學(xué)院副院長、計算機(jī)創(chuàng)新技術(shù)研究院執(zhí)行院長,此前入選 IEEE Fellow。主要研究方向為云安全、物聯(lián)網(wǎng)安全與隱私保護(hù),是其研究領(lǐng)域的權(quán)威專家。任奎教授發(fā)表了280余篇同行評議的期刊與會議文章,獲得了包括IEEE INFOCOM’20、IEEE Globecom’19, 中國密碼學(xué)會’18、ACM ASIACCS’18、IEEE ICDCS’17、IWQoS’17,ICNP’11等在內(nèi)的多篇最佳論文和時間考驗論文獎。他的H-Index為69,文章總引用次數(shù)超過30,000次,并入選科睿唯安高被引科學(xué)家。同時任奎教授的多項研究成果在工業(yè)界有廣泛應(yīng)用。

王義
瑞典烏普薩拉大學(xué)信息技術(shù)系教授,主要研究興趣為 CPS 的設(shè)計與動態(tài)更新、安全至上的嵌入實時系統(tǒng)、實時調(diào)度、建模與驗證。1982年本科畢業(yè)于中國東北大學(xué)計算機(jī)工程專業(yè),隨后赴瑞典查爾姆斯理工大學(xué)攻讀計算機(jī)科學(xué)博士預(yù)科與博士學(xué)位。2014年當(dāng)選 IEEE Fellow。曾獲得2019年 IEEE TCRTS Award、RTSS 2099/2015/2017 最佳論文獎、ECRTS 2015最佳論文獎、DATE 2013最佳論文獎、ETAPS 2002 最佳工具論文獎。

張耀文,國立臺灣大學(xué)電機(jī)工程系特聘教授,他在1988年獲得國立臺灣大學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué)位,在1993年獲得德克薩斯大學(xué)奧斯汀分校碩士學(xué)位,1996年獲得德克薩斯大學(xué)奧斯汀分校博士學(xué)位。研究領(lǐng)域為電子設(shè)計自動化、積體電路實體設(shè)計、積體電路可制造性設(shè)計等。
